Granite

Granite is mainly composed of mica, feldspar and quartz; it has a granular look however some granite will have a motion flow to them. Granite is available in a large spectrum of colors and crystal compositions. Granite is considered an igneous rock (Volcanic Magma) that has been subjected to extreme heat and pressure for millions of years. Granite is the second hardest substance next to the diamond. It's this durability that makes it the most sensible choice for kitchen countertops. Homeowners are able to set hot pots directly on to the counter without blistering. Granite does need to be sealed, In the past few years technology has really come along way. You now can seal your granite and with the proper maintenance you do not have to reseal the stone for 3 years or more.
